Donald Trump Says Barack Obama Likes Him, Claims ‘I Can Feel It’
On Monday, in part two of his interview with Bill O’Reilly, Donald Trump told the cable news host that former president Barack Obama “liked him,” and backed up that somewhat dubious assertion by saying he “can feel it.”
“It’s a very strange phenomenon, we get along,” Trump said. “I don’t know if he’ll admit this, but he likes me. I like him.” When asked by the host on how he knows if his predecessor “likes him,” Trump answered simply “I can feel it. That’s what I do in life. It’s called, like, ‘I understand.’”
For those of you who have followed their relationship this may be difficult to believe, considering that Obama was on the receiving end of unsubstantiated (and extremely public) birther claims from Trump that would’ve embarrassed a person that could actually be embarrassed. Still, Trump said that the past rhetoric between the two men could be chalked up to politics, and that there were no lingering hard feelings between either party, even after Obama (in Trump’s words) campaigned harder than Hillary did during this past presidential election.
“We had a rough campaign. He was vicious during the campaign toward me, and I was vicious towards him,” Trump said, seemingly without acknowledging all the stuff he had already said about Obama prior to the campaign. “We said horrible things to each other, and then we hop into the car and we drive down Pennsylvania Avenue together, we don’t even talk about it. Politics is amazing.”
It’s up to you whether you buy this or not.
On Sunday, May 14, North Korea test-fired another ballistic missile after warnings of “catastrophic consequences” from the US government increasing tensions between both countries. The test which was the first since South Korea elected a new president, follows a ballistic missile test launch which many U.S and South Korean officials say failed. While reports are […]
Bill O’Reilly’s 21-year career at Fox News has come to a sudden and ignoble end. “The O’Reilly Factor” has been canceled amid a cloud of harassment allegations against the conservative broadcaster. Rupert Murdoch and his sons James and Lachlan, who run 21st Century Fox, made the announcement Wednesday afternoon. “After a thorough and careful […]
Every so often, a photograph cuts through the grim cacophony of the war in Syria and pierces viewers’ hearts. It happened in 2015 with an image of the lifeless body of Alan Kurdi, face down on a beach in Turkey, who drowned in the Mediterranean fleeing the war. It happened last year when a photographer […]
President Donald Trump is breaking with modern precedent in his refusal to succumb to pressure to publicly release more information on his past tax payments on the day that every American is expected to privately file theirs. For the past 40 years, every US president and presidential candidate has released tax documents. In 1973, while […]
Early Friday morning local time, the United States launched a cruise missile attack on Syria. The 59 Raytheon Tomahawk cruise missiles were sent in retaliation for the Syrian regime’s chemical weapons attack on rebel-held territory in the northern part of the country on April 4. That attack, which used sarin, killed dozens and made hundreds sick. The […]
