Eddie Murphy Reportedly Working on a Sequel to “Coming to America”
Fans of the 1988 Eddie Murphy classic “Coming to America” will be delighted to learn that it looks like the veteran actor/comedian slipped and spilled the beans about a sequel potentially coming to theaters soon in a since-deleted tweet.
Murphy surprised fans on Wednesday night March 15, when he took to Twitter with an image of actress Vanessa Bell Calloway that bared a caption reading, “Coming to America sequel?”
TMZ would later report that its sources confirmed that production for a sequel is indeed in the works, but it is in early writing stages. Murphy’s tweet, and account, were deleted after the leak.
